There are often various funding schemes out there in the “Business World” backed by the government, especially for SME Businesses and Enterprises and we thought it would be helpful to introduce you to the one’s we’re familiar with. We’ve written a quick overview below about the most current and relevant ones which businesses can tap into or apply for to help with their developing their social media presence and social media skills…
AD:VENTURE is a funded programme designed to help businesses in their first 3 years of trading based in the Leeds City Region (Bradford, Calderdale, Craven, Harrogate, Kirklees, Leeds, Selby, Wakefield and York).
The programme offers:-

Please Note: ERDF Eligibility criteria do apply, and businesses in consumer retail (Only selling to the public), primary agriculture, nuclear decommissioning and education provision will not be eligible. If you aren’t sure, give them a call or email and they can clarify before you register.
SMEs in the North Yorkshire region can “apply for a 40% grant (minimum of £1,000)” to cover the cost of social media training and strategic support delivered by Social Progress, as well as “specific digital improvements” we can help with eg. website updates and video and photographic content creation consultancy.
Eligible businesses can apply for a grant for a project up to the value of £5,000, with the business contributing 60% of the total cost.

Digital Enterprise Voucher Scheme
Digital Enterprise has been established to help businesses who are looking to scale up through the better use of digital technology.
You can apply for part-funding to invest in new digital technology such as (but not limited to) a new website and to also help start your digital marketing or improve your existing digital marketing plan and skills. This can include social media set up, social media training, social media strategy and elements of social media marketing support which can be delivered by Social Progress through the Scheme.
Vouchers range from £1,000 to £5,000 and need to be matched by funding from the business. The scheme offers funding of 40%, up to a maximum of £5,000, towards the total value of an investment with the balance of 60% funded by the business. – Digital Enterprise
The scheme aims to help eligible firms access and use digital/information and communication technology to achieve business growth and raise competitiveness.
The Second (next) Phase of the Voucher Scheme is due to go live in September 2017. So, watch this space!
