Kirklees Working Smarter Grant - Workeforce Development - Social Progress Ltd - Social Media TrainingThere are often various funding schemes out there in the “Business World” backed by the government, especially for SME Businesses and Enterprises and we thought it would be helpful to introduce you to the one’s we’re familiar with. We’ve written a quick overview below about the Working Smarter Grant which many of our clients have recently applied for to cover or part-fund their social media training and development with us.

 

Kirklees Working Smarter Grant:Working Smarter Vouchers 2015-16
If you pay (or are registered to pay) business rates to Kirklees, you may be eligible to apply for up to £1,000 worth of funding for workforce development and training. The “match-funding” Kirklees Council ask for is the value of your time which you’re willing to put into the project. If approved, they will give you approximately an 8 week window to complete the project/training applied for. Funding isn’t guaranteed but worth applying for if relevant to you.

Recent clients have used the Working Smarter Grant to cover the following types of training and social media strategy development:

Social Media Review – Written Review of Existing Social Media (business) accounts with an optional meeting to discuss the suggestions for improvement detailed in the written review.

Social Media Strategy and Planning Session – 2 hour meeting with Janet and Esther to develop a tailored Social Media Strategy, helping you plan ahead of the game and use your time on social media more wisely. Includes a tailored 12 month Content Calendar and 3 month Social Media Planner.

Personally Tailored 1-to-1 Person Training Sessions to boost your social media skills – covering Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, LinkedIn and more

Personally Tailored 1-to-2 People Training Sessions to boost your social media skills – covering Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, LinkedIn and more

In-house Social Media Training Workshops – these are half-day or full-day workshops located at your office (or Social Progress HQ) where we train up a group of your employees. We can cover social media platforms as well as social media topics to suit your business requirements. In-House Workshops are suitable for groups of 3 – 12 employees.

Half-Day Open Training Workshops located at Social Progress HQ – covering Social Media Strategy and Branding, Content Marketing, Facebook Training, Twitter Training, Google Plus Training, LinkedIn Training, Pinterest, Instagram and Blogging for Business. Training is not limited to the above so if there’s something else you would like to ask about (which is not on this list) please do get in touch with us to chat about whether the training may be covered by the grant.
