On Friday 15th July, Janet and Esther had a “proper” Team photoshoot! But this wasn’t just any corporate photoshoot – this was a John Steel Photography photoshoot! We didn’t want standard photos, we wanted something creative and fun that reflected our personalities. John was perfect for the job!
With 2 dress changes, 2 pairs of wellies, 2 colourful umbrellas and a 5ft inflatable banana, you know it’s not going to be the usual kind of photos don’t you?
John spent a whole afternoon with us in the field outside the lovely Carding Shed and The Oil Can Cafe, Hepworth. The sun was shining, the grass was green and the sky was a gorgeous blue! Once we got over the fact that we were in front of the camera we started to have fun. John had us stood in a tree-line, sat in the middle of a field and we even managed to have photos in Janet’s soft-top Mini too!
We specifically wanted professional but natural and relaxed shots to use on the Social Progress website and other branded materials rather than the standard business-like photos. We think John did a fab job capturing our personalities and reflecting the fun we genuinely have in the office day-to-day!

Overall, our afternoon was a hoot! We laughed (a lot!) and John even called US crazy at one point because we started singing whilst sat in the middle of the field soaking up the sunshine!
As you can see above, we had to finish with a brew and some cake! Unfortunately the Oil Can Cafe was closed by the time we finished the photoshoot so we popped over (with John) to The Old Bridge Inn, Holmfirth for some well deserved carrot cake mmmmmmm!
